This season, H&M Kids looks to denim in washes ranging from shades of mid-blue to faded black paired with playful touches, retro varsity sport elements and workwear influences. There are everyday pieces like denim jeans and sweatshirts, but also trenches, printed blouses, overshirts and knitwear for a fashionable take. The collection is now available at selected stores and online from Superbalist.
Most of the colour palette comes from a neutral foundation with a range of blues from the denim, complemented by cream, browns, and pops of colours for energy. Key pieces include jeans with wide legs, flared legs or a barrel shape, denim dresses, pointelle or rib knits, fleece crewnecks and workwear-inspired overshirts. Details like cherry prints, embroidery, patch pockets, simple ruffles and waffle or rib textures lend charm and a stylish edge. Accessories include retro trainers, hair clips and bag charms.
“This season, we wanted a collection that put denim centre stage. New fits in a variation of the season’s washes and looks have a laidback feel. Playful details and contrast colours bring fun and vibrant energy,” says Sofia Löfstedt, Head of Kidswear Design at H&M.
